- Have paper out and pencils sharpened.
- Bring your chromebook, notebook, calculator, and pencil every day.

- 1st Offense – Warning. Cell phone is confiscated and returned to the student at the end of the instructional period.
- 2nd Offense – Cell phone is confiscated and turned into the office. The student may get the phone at the end of the day.
- 3rd Offense – Cell phone is confiscated and turned into the main office. The student must serve a Knight Crew before the student receives the phone. The parent is contacted by the teacher.
- 4th Offense - Cell phone is confiscated and turned into the main office. The student must serve a Knight Crew. Administrator contacts home and a parent must pick up the cell phone.

- 3rd and Subsequent Tardies – Referral to Administration
Hall Passes:
- Passes will not be issued until the lesson is over.
- You will NOT be allowed to go to use the pass at the beginning of class. Be sure to use passing time wisely.
Materials: The following items are required for class:
- You must bring your charged chromebook to class each day.
- You must have a notebook/folder that is to contain only math work.
- You must have a scientific calculator. TI-30X IIS and TI-30XS are recommended.
(Graphing calculator is optional - TI-83 is most commonly used)
Homework/Classwork:
- We will be using a combination of textbook assignments and worksheet assignments. Please plan on having them completed in order to prepare for your assessments.
- Late work will be allowed only until the Measurement Topic Test is given.
Tests/Test Retakes:
- Quizzes are a good indicator of success or failure on a test. If you don’t pass the quiz, you will likely not pass the test. Get some help beforehand.
- Everyone will take the test on the date it is given. If you are absent, you must be prepared to take the test the day you return.
- You are required to retake a test (within 2 weeks) on any Measurement Topic below 60% to score a maximum of 80%.
- You are allowed to retake a Measurement Topic Test (within 2 weeks) to raise your test grade to a maximum of 80%.
- After the two week window, the maximum grade will be 60%.

Grade Distribution:
- 75% Measurement Topics (TESTS)
- 25% Evidence (HW, QUIZZES, ETC.)
Extra Credit:
- Extra credit will NOT be offered.
- All students must demonstrate minimum proficiency (60%) on each standard to receive credit for the course.
- Teacher pace - I will teach at a pace that will ensure that each student can finish the requirements by the end of each semester and the school year.
- Should a student fall behind, that student will be identified for interventions.
- Students are expected to be on teacher pace. Additional information regarding consequences for being off pace will be available soon after the school year begins.
Semester/Final Exams:
- A summative exam will be given for each semester. This will count as 10% of the semester grade overall.
- The purpose of giving an exam to a student who has shown proficiency in each standard is to check for continued proficiency and retention.

- A huge factor in your success will be your participation in the practice work, class discussions, and your willingness to seek extra help from me both during and outside of class as soon as you feel you are struggling.
- After school - I am available for student assistance most days until at least 3:00pm.
- Google your topic - You will likely find many ways to learn more about it.
